My favorite band is Tokio Hotel , and my favorite player is Tom Kaulitz ( the guitarist). Tokio hotel was formed by 4 guys. Tom Kaulitz, Bill Kaulitz, Gustav Schafer and Georg Listing. They met in 2001 after a show in the Magdeburg Club where Georg and Gustav knew each other from music school. They watched Bill and Tom play together on stage. The Kaulitz are twin brothers but look Nothing alike!! Tom has dreadlocks and Bill looks like a girl…..when the Kaulitz met Gustav and Georg back stage they told them that Gustav played the drums and Georg played the Bass Guitar they knew that they just become a band together. They named themselves “ Devilish”. Soon the band began playing in talent shows and small concerts. After Bill tried out in the children's star search in 2003 when he was 13 even though he lost in the quarter final the music producer, Peter Hoffmann wanted to “ make him a star”. Then Devilish changed their name to Tokio Hotel. Tokio is spelled with an I instead of a Y because that’s the German spelling way of the city Tokyo. They named themselves Tokio Hotel because the whole band loves Tokyo and Hotel because when they tour they seem to always be in a hotel :P

Their first single was off their second album called Zimmer 483 their single was in German and was called “Ubers Ende der Welt” which was later on re-released in English called Ready, Set, Go! It was re-released on January 26 2007 and quickly reached #1. Zimmer 483 was released on February 28 2007 with a deluxe edition that had a DVD. Their second single was called “Spring Nicht “which in English is “ Don’t Jump” . The Zimmer 483 tour was scheduled in March 2007 but was delayed by two weeks because the band members wanted a new stage. Their third single was called “An Denier Seite ( Ich Bin Da)” which in English is called “ By your Side”, was released on 16th of November.

n German was called “ Durch Den Monsun” was the first single from the album also the song “Ready, Set, Go!” Was released as a second single and their single was “ By Your Side” and their Fourth single was called “ Don’t Jump”. The video for “Scream” was their hit for 2005 and was also released on ITunes.

Bill Kaulitz and Tom Kaulitz were born on September, 1 1989 in Leipzig

( East Germany). They were born to Simone Kaulitz and Jorg Kaulitz. When he and his twin brother Tom were seven their parents divorced and their mother remarried to Gordon Trumper. Who happened to be a guitarist from a German rock band “Fatun”. He inspired the twins to begin music. Bill started writing lyrics at 7 years old. Tom is Ten minutes Older than his brother Bill. Tom is using Gibson guitars. His musical influence is Aerosmith and German hip-hop like Samy Deluxe. Tom says that everything has happened to him before Bill. Out of both of them he was the one to have first kiss and get a piercing. Bill is scared of getting a piercing Tom says since Tom has a piercing on his lower Lip.

Georg Listing was born on March 31 1987 in Magdeburg. He began playing bass when he was 12 and is using Sanderg bass's. He says that his playing style was heavily influenced by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Gustav Schafer was born September 8 1988 in Magdeburg. Gustav has been playing drums since he was 6. He has 1 older sister. His musical influence is Metallica.
